My love for photography began long before I ever understood what photography truly was. As a child, I carried around Kodak disposable cameras, capturing everything I could see — people, random moments, places, feelings I didn’t yet have the words for. At the time, many of those photos probably didn’t make sense to anyone else, and honestly, not even to me. But looking back now, I realize I was trying to hold onto moments before they disappeared.
When I turned 18 and bought my first beginner professional camera, something inside me shifted. Photography stopped being just a hobby and became a part of who I was. I threw myself into every type of photography I could — portraits, landscapes, events, street photography — searching for my style, my purpose, and my voice behind the lens. I didn’t have a clear direction at first. I just knew I wanted to create something meaningful and become someone who could tell stories through images people could feel.
But out of everything I explored, weddings and elopements spoke to my heart in a way nothing else ever did.
